About Vox

A decade of legal experience in one local firm.

Founded in 2008, Vox Law is a local small business focused on family law and family law only. We’re not a branch of some national corporate firm headquartered out-of-state–we know Minnesota laws intimately because we live in the same communities we serve.

Over the past ten years we've handled hundreds of divorce and custody cases, appeared before just about every judge, and worked with nearly every professional in the Twin Cities family law community. We bring these invaluable resources and connections to each and every one of our clients.

Zach Smith

Founder, Attorney

After getting his undergrad degree at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, Minnesota attorney Zachary Smith opened Vox Law in 2008. Prior to becoming a lawyer Zach cut his teeth in the corporate world, learning valuable lessons about efficiency that he passes on to his Vox clients through cost-saving practices and technology–i.e. no padded bills, no archaic communication systems, and no unnecessary “company retreats” on the clients’ dime.

When he’s not practicing law, Zach spends his free time playing goalie on a beer league hockey team, indulging his fanaticism for '80s-era cars, collecting vinyl records, and honing his (four-time hall of famer level) pinball skills.
