Happy 2012!

Now that the holidays are over and everyone is gearing up for the winter months ahead (assuming that the cold and snow eventually arrive), I wanted to take a moment to reflect back on what 2011 meant for us at Vox Law, and maybe take a quick peek into the future.  Can businesses make new years resolutions?  I suppose Vox could promise to go to the gym more often and eat more vegetables...

All in all, 2011 was a great year for us and our clients.  We helped over 200 clients through their divorces, custody situations, parenting time issues, child support, and even a few wonderful adoptions.  We implemented new technology to better serve our clients and to make us even more accessible and mobile than ever.  We added a few new faces - one attorney, Angela Starry, and two clerks, Jacqueline Schneider and Emily Biedelman.  At the beginning of the year, we upgraded from our old office in the Grain Belt Warehouse to our beautiful new office in the Grain Belt Bottling House.  We sponsored several local rec sports teams and a film at the Minnesota Independent Film Festival.  Perhaps most importantly, we traded in the old Austin Powers pinball machine in Zach's office for a much more exciting classic Pin-bot.

We continued to keep current on case law and saw some really important developments take place over the last year, including the Passolt decision which has had a large impact on all of our divorces that involve spousal maintenance awards.  We have continued to see an even higher percentage of our clients come from the core metro counties than last year, with most new cases being in Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota, and Washington county.  Our commercial has gone live, to which we have only received one anonymous complaint, which is a source of disappointment for me.

What does 2012 hold in store for Vox Law?  Besides the healthier living through exercise and vegetables, we are continuing to upgrade our technology to better serve our clients.  Our commercial will begin running again soon - look for it if you live in South Minneapolis, Edina and Richfield this time.   Our attorneys continue to be committed to giving back to the community through their service with the William Mitchell Pro-Se clinic, Hennepin County volunteer services, and the Volunteer Lawyers Network.  Most of all, we remain dedicated to ensuring that our clients receive the quality representation that they have come to expect from us in 2012 and beyond.

Happy New Years, everybody!
