Our new commercial!

Let me start by saying that I've always wanted to be on TV.  If awkwardly saying a line at the end of my own commercial is what it takes to be "discovered", then so be it.  I always imagined my first role to be more Brandon Walsh (90210, duh) and less TV divorce lawyer, but it's a start.  That being said, I'm pretty proud of the way our commercial turned out.  If you're not lucky enough to have seen it on air, as it only plays in Minneapolis proper, here is a link to a low-quality youtube version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIg6wUptD2w

The reason I like our commercial so much is because it really represents who we are as attorneys - different.  We made a very conscious decision to avoid the standard "guy in gray suit standing in front of law books" scene that is the centerpiece of most law firm commercials.  We wanted our commercial to not only show what services we provide, but also have a more personal, human feel to it.  After all, what we do - divorces, child custody, adoptions - is really emotional, personal stuff!  We know that there are a ton of family law attorneys out there to choose from, and many are very good at what they do.  However, it's really important to be able to relate to the attorney you are working with and be able to trust them to handle your unique situation.  We understand that some people are going to be more comfortable with the attorney in the suburban strip mall, or the attorney in the big downtown firm, and that's fine - but it just isn't our style.  From the background music (thanks to "The Chord and the Fawn") to the same-sex couple to the use of our unique office itself, this commercial really shows what we are all about and why we are different.  We know that our style isn't for everyone, but we also know that it works extremely well for lots of other people.  We know this because so many past and current clients have told us how much they appreciate what we do, and how we do it.
