“Deciding to get divorced was one of the hardest decisions that I have had to make. Zach made every second of the process as smooth as possible, he was available to answer my questions quickly and professionally. I always felt at ease after talking with Zach and never felt judged or uncomfortable”

— Former Vox Law client

Divorce is difficult, there are no two ways about it.  Nobody plans to get divorced, yet over half of marriages unfortunately end in divorce.  With so many people going through the divorce process each year, one might think that there is an easy, straightforward process to terminate the marital relationship.  Unfortunately, that is usually not the case.  Each divorce is as unique and complicated as each marriage, and may include such complications as division of property, child custody and parenting time, business interests, real estate, child support, spousal maintenance (alimony) and more.  Moreover, the parties to a divorce proceeding aren't numbers or faceless corporations, but individual human beings each with their own personalities, challenges and goals.

We take the time to get to know each of our clients, their concerns, and goals they wish to accomplish through the divorce process.  We tailor our approach to each case depending on the issues involved, personalities involved, and short and long term goals of our client.  For some cases, creative problem solving is most important - we use our experience to identify solutions that people going through the process for the first time may not have been aware of.  In particularly contentious cases, smart, aggressive, efficient negotiation and litigation may be called for.  However, unlike some firms, what we never do is fight just for the sake of fighting, or tell our clients what they want to hear, even if we know it is not a likely outcome.  We believe that it is always important to undergo a "cost-benefit" analysis in going through each step of a divorce and making a smart, informed decision as to what is worth fighting for, and what is best left alone.  Most importantly, we always remember that it is our job to give sound advice, but the ultimate decisions are yours, as it is your life being affected by the proceedings.  Divorce affects literally every aspect of a person's life - it is important to have someone by your side that has the experience and knowledge to achieve your best possible outcome.
